third wave

i recently finished the Third Wave....

i found it really interesting, but did get bogged down a bit.

He talks about the critical impact and changes of the industrial age being fundamentally caused by the separation of poduction and consumption.

I'd love someone to read and discuss....hint hint..

read quite a bit a while ago

I found it fascinating, the kind of critical thinking about history that I wish I'd had sooner. My ps experience in history had almost nothing in it that could be construed as controversial or critical.

My core classic states that these changes came about because of righteousness and the purposes of God in bringing forth a new era in history (the last dispensation). But it's not specific about what the changes will be nor when nor exactly how they come about, just that we are to do specific things to prepare (stay out of debt, store food, know and live our religion, become educated). Come to think of it, it is specific, in the way that most prophecy is specific; you can apply it multiple times to several different situations. To keep us on our toes, maybe?

I don't remember the details of _The Third Wave_, but if you give your comments, I will try to reply.

Sorry to take so long

Sorry to take so long getting back to you. Perhaps reading my thoughts on my blog would jog your memory...and instigate discussion. I have two posts on third wave...from September 24 and September 28...
